In January 2025, the The Midwest Nursing History Research Center at The University of Illinois College of Nursing in Chicago produced a short documentary film about the Chicago-area nurses who served at four US base hospitals in France during World War I. Some excerpts of Hedy’s journal (regarding her service at Base Hospital No. 11) and her picture are included in this fascinating and moving film.
